Region 9 offers Lone Star Governance Workshop

Is your board ready to engage in a continuous improvement framework specifically designed to improve student outcomes? Then this session is for you and the rest of your board!
The Lone Star Governance (LSG) Workshop will be held May 8-9, 2026, from 8am to 5pm at Region 9 Education Service Center.
Founded on research, LSG is a continuous-improvement model for governing teams—boards in collaboration with their superintendents—who choose to focus intensely on only one primary objective: improving student outcomes.
This workshop is open to full teams of eight, quorums of a board, superintendent and board chair, or individual superintendents and trustees in need of Lone Star Governance training.
Board and Trustees will earn credit to satisfy these required trainings:
• Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes (3 hours)
• Framework (10 hours)
• LSG Certificate
• Team of Eight (3 hours)
• Team Commendation
For questions on attendance or to register, please contact Brian Bibb at (940) 322-8214 or brian.bibb@esc9.net.
