Retiring Superintendents Recognized

It was a bittersweet moment when Region 9 ESC Executive Director, Wes Pierce, presented plaques to retiring superintendents, C.D. Knobloch of Archer City ISD and Steve Moody  of Iowa Park CISD.  Mr. Pierce commended both men for their outstanding years of service to their school districts, communities, and colleagues.  The presentation took place at the May meeting of the Red River Superintendents Association on May 15th.  Additionally, Jeanmarie Baer and Mollie Lerew, Partners with the law firm Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott, honored the retirees with a donation to the Midwestern State University College of Education scholarship fund in their names.

Mr. Knobloch is retiring after 36 years in education, having served the last 25 years at Archer City ISD as high school principal and then superintendent.  Mr. Moody retires with over 40 years at Iowa Park CISD, the last 11 as superintendent.

Mr. Pierce shared how much these two superintendents had meant to him personally and how greatly they will be missed, a sentiment echoed by many attendees.  Our best wishes go out to Mr. Knobloch and Mr. Moody as they embark on this new chapter.
