Region 9 Teacher Wins MATHia Marathon: Sprint 5

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has partnered with Carnegie Learning to provide educators and students free access to MATHia, an online math learning software that personalizes instruction for middle school and high school students based on how they learn over time.

All students who are working in MATHia this year are automatically entered into the MATHia Marathon. For each MATHia mile (workspace) that students complete during each two-week sprint, they earn a chance to win earn a $25 Amazon gift card! Also, at the end of each challenge, all the teachers of sprint winners will be entered into a drawing where the winning teacher will receive a 64 GB iPad and a pizza party for his/her class!

Jacksboro High School is listed in the Texas MATHia Marathon: Sprint 5 Winners list.

Congratulations to Brooke McCurry, mathematics teacher at Jacksboro High School, for being an amazing teacher.  She has jumped into Carnegie with both feet, and her students are beginning to soar.
