Midway ISD Students

Midway ISD students had an exceptional year with major awards academically and in extracurricular and vocational programs.  They are pictured here with their sponsors and coaches.

12 – Jordan Davis – Girls’ golf team state qualifier; congressional nominee for Air Force Academy appointment.

12 - Holton Leach – Air Force Academy appointment (will attend UT-Austin for aeronautical engineering;) state qualifier as a sophomore in tennis doubles and singles as a senior; Eagle Scout and Boys’ State participant; Scholar for the College Board National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program; state qualifier in the Future Problem Solvers competition as a GT student.

10 - Christian Coker - Won the triple jump at the state meet; state qualifier in mixed doubles tennis, First Team All-Regional Basketball Team; state qualifier in the Future Problem Solvers competition as a GT student.

11- Kyle Sharples - State qualifier in the Future Problem Solvers competition as a GT student.

10 – Dayton Leach - State qualifier in the Future Problem Solvers competition as a GT student.

11 - Karen Koopmans - $10,000 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange scholarship to study in Germany her junior year. 

11 - Layten Graham – Third at the national level in 4-H horse judging; first of over 600 in the Tarleton FFA horse judging competition. 

11 - Ashley Riddle - $10,000 Fort Worth Stock Show scholarship; first at the 4-H State Roundup in four events.
