Progress in the General Curriculum (Least Restrictive Environment)

Training and technical assistance are available to assist districts in the continuum of services for students with disabilities in the general education classroom.  Training in the project area is provided to assist staff in implementing curriculum (regular and special) and appropriate classroom modifications and accommodationss.  Assistance is available based on the degree of staff involvement, commitment, and identified needs.  Other services include alternate delivery systems, effective teaching practices and testing modifications.  Visits to Promising Practice sites and conference participation are coordinated and funded through the Special Education Services Department.
