Kemp Center for the Arts

In cooperation with the Arts Council Wichita Falls, Region 9 is able to offer Art Classes to  Reg 9 member schools.  These classes are taught by Laura Konecne, a visiting artist from Hawaii.  Each lesson is approximately 45 minutes and is designed to meet current TEKS as outlined by the TEA.

The Arts Council Wichita Falls will provide the necessary art supplies and lesson plan for each class.  The classes are taught bi-weekly.  If you can’t participate live, please utilize the videos posted below to supplement your classes.

To participate in these lessons, you will need the ability to either connect via traditional distance learning equipment or have a computer with a camera and microphone connected to a monitor or projector.  For technical information, contact Derek Ford at 940-322-6928 or derek.ford@esc9.net.  To register your class for the lessons contact Christine Heidebrecht at 940-767-2787 or education@artscouncilwf.org.

Continuing Education

To meet the changing educational needs of its service area, Vernon College provides distance education (DE) opportunities to students with special scheduling needs, at remote locations, and at high schools and other regional centers. Distance education courses are available through the internet (in both online and hybrid formats) and by two-way interactive video (ITV) classrooms at area high schools and other selected sites.
