REGION 9

Region 9 has organized all of the early learning programs in one component to focus on cross program collaboration and to emphasize the importance of early childhood in student performance. The Early Learning component will provide technical assistance and professional development to assist districts and charter in implementing high quality early childhood programs.  Early Learning includes services through Head Start, Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities, and School Readiness programs. All of the Early Learning programs include early intervention strategies, a clear focus on school readiness, and instructional arrangements that are developmentally appropriate to the young learner.
